Mr. Mike's Pizza, Burlington

Whether it's a simple, self-contained home unit or a 300 foot long draw glycol system, I can install the right system for your needs.

Customer Service

Working with the customer from start to finish is a necessary component of choosing and designing the right draught system for your needs.  I will conduct a free survey to determine measurements and then consult on ordering all desired components.  If necessary, I can remove your old system as well.  Finally, scheduling will be at your convenience, so as not to disrupt your normal business hours.

Maintenance

A leaky faucet or glycol leak can waste a lot of time and energy for any business.  I am committed to helping you and your customers enjoy the full potential of draught beer, therefore I will ensure that all draught beer system equipment is in excellent working order.

Leaks & Breaks

It’s a dirty job,  but I’m always ready to do it. Most problems are diagnosed and repaired same day or within 24 hours. These include: leaky or broken faucets, leaky or broken couplers and FOBs, foamy beer, no beer pouring, gas leaks as well as glycol.   Glycol levels and gas supplies are also routinely monitored to prevent disruption of service.

Surveys

Recommendations

My comprehensive system analysis is designed to check the condition of your current system and make recommendations to improve the draught beer product that you pour.  The survey checks for the following:

  • Temperature of beer as it pours from faucets
  • Condition of the drain and towers
  • If your glycol machine is holding the correct temperature in its resevoir
  • If your glycol machine is clean, or if it has dirt and grease build up
  • Presence of antifreeze in glycol machine
  • Pressures from the regulators
  • If you are using the correct gas system
  • The condition of your couplers

Cleaning

It’s all about easy serving and a better profit margin. Clean, quality, fresh beer is what the customer wants and should get, hands down.  To ensure this, all clients enjoy consistent, timely service appointments to clean and sanitize beer lines on a bi-weekly basis as part of their service contract.

Enemies of Draught Beer

Yeast

White or grey-colored surface growth found on beer system components (faucets, keg couplers and drains) that are exposed to air.

Mold

Brown or black-colored surface growth found on beer system components (faucets, keg couplers and drains) that are exposed to air.

Beer stones

Grey or brown in color, (calcium oxalate) builds up and eventually flakes off if the system is not properly maintained, potentially ending up in the pint and having a negative effect on taste.

Bacteria

Beer-spoiling bacteria will ruin a beer’s flavor, aroma, and cause beer to appear cloudy. While these micro-organisms are not health risks, they will cause buttery off-flavors called diacetyl, or sour, vinegary off-flavors called acetic acid.

Routine

Only with routine cleanings can you expect your beer system to continue yielding consistent gains each year.  Beer lines and faucets are cleaned of normal residue build-up with alkaline cleaners on a bi-weekly basis.  We also provide a quarterly acidic clean specially formulated for draught beer lines.  During beer line cleaning, we also check the integrity of your system, replace washers, make necessary adjustments and brush out your glycol chiller.
